The original Pronto connects by USB and has no automatic input hopper. The Magicard Pronto100 is a separate, hopper-fed model. Compare the two if you expect to produce several cards together; their colour ribbons and cleaning kits differ.

Is the original Pronto suitable for occasional cards?

Yes. Its manual feed lets you insert one card when it is needed, such as a replacement staff badge or a new member’s card. There is no automatic input hopper to load. If you expect to print batches, compare the hopper-fed Pronto100 before choosing your printer.

Is this the same printer as the Pronto100?

No. They are separate models with different card handling and consumables. The original Pronto uses MA colour ribbons and the CK1 cleaning kit. The Pronto100 uses MD colour ribbons and E9100 cleaning supplies. Always match the model name and ribbon reference instead of choosing by the Pronto name alone.

Can the original Pronto automatically print both sides?

No. This listing is for single-sided printing. If your design needs details on both faces, consider a printer equipped for automatic dual-sided printing. Can I erase a normal PVC card and use it again?

No. Rewritable printing needs compatible thermally activated card stock. A normal blank PVC card is not a rewritable card. Therefore, tell ACB whether you want a conventional colour card or a rewritable application before you buy the cards and supplies.
