Agree the construction and finish
Ask for the wood type, thickness, surface treatment and complete construction available for the order. A wood appearance alone does not establish that a finished card is entirely wood or plastic-free. Any backing, coating, adhesive or inlay needs to be included in the specification.
Use grain thoughtfully in the artwork
Natural tone and grain can vary between cards. Review how logos, fine text and large areas of colour appear on the selected stock. Ask ACB which printing or other finishing options are available for that material, and agree the proof or physical sample needed.
Test electronic and printed identifiers

Can wood cards work with hotel locks?
Suitable electronic constructions can be discussed, but the exact credential and lock system must be confirmed. A similar-looking card or the same material does not prove compatibility. Arrange a sample test before a full run.
Are wood cards automatically plastic-free or compostable?
