The IDP Smart 31 dual-sided bundle combines automatic front-and-reverse printing with EasyBadge Professional for Windows and starter supplies. Use the front for the photograph and key details, then place terms, return information or other artwork on the reverse.

The supplied ribbon is YMCKO. Its 250-print rating does not establish 250 completed two-sided cards. Ask ACB to match the print mode and panel use to your front-and-reverse artwork.

Plan the printing and software setup

The printer offers 300 dpi colour output, an 80-card input hopper and USB. IDP's 138-card/hour figure applies to its YMCKOK duplex mode, which uses a different ribbon from the supplied YMCKO. Keep that distinction in mind when comparing bundles and output rates.

EasyBadge Professional provides a Windows design and data-management workflow. Check your current operating system and licence requirements before installation. Network connectivity and any encoder must be part of the specified hardware configuration.

Which ribbon suits a colour front and black reverse?

Compare the IDP 659376 YMCKOK ribbon for that intended duplex layout. The extra K panel supports black reverse artwork. The included 659366 YMCKO ribbon is a separate consumable; choose the correct driver mode for the actual job.

Can I print colour on both faces?

Confirm the supported mode and ribbon use for your design. Colour on two faces can consume more panels per finished card than a one-face colour job. Approve a sample of both sides and calculate supplies from that workflow.

Does Professional software include contactless encoding?

The publisher's feature table lists contactless encoding in its Smart and Bureau editions. Professional supports magnetic encoding with suitable hardware. Match the software edition, fitted encoder and card technology before specifying MIFARE or another contactless workflow.

What stock and maintenance items should I order?

Choose printable blank white PVC cards within the printer's CR80, 0.38–0.76 mm specification. Add IDP 659909 cleaning cards and follow the maintenance instructions. Keep unprinted stock clean and test any barcode with its intended reader.

Is the duplex bundle right for a front-only design?
