About this product

Magicard Pronto100 ID card printer for small batches

The Magicard Pronto100 ID card printer produces single-sided staff badges, photo ID and membership cards. Its 50-card input and output hoppers let you prepare a batch without loading every card by hand. USB and Ethernet connections support desktop or network use.

Magicard Pronto100 ID card printer colour modes

Magicard specifies 23 seconds per colour card in HD mode, or 18 seconds in high-speed mode. Select the setting for your artwork and workflow rather than treating both figures as the same output quality. HoloKote watermark features and digital shredding are also provided.

Magicard Pronto100 ID card printer ribbons

Use the MD100YMCKO colour ribbon for the matching printer region and suitable blank white PVC cards. The E9100 cleaning kit is the Pronto100 reference. MA colour ribbons and the CK1 kit for the original hand-fed Pronto are different supplies.

Plan the complete card-issuing setup

This is a single-sided printing workflow. If automatic two-sided printing is needed, compare Magicard printers before ordering. For access-control cards, confirm the card technology, reader requirements and separate encoding arrangement.

Before ordering, confirm the supplied items, software licence, current driver support, warranty terms and delivery date with ACB. Printing a barcode, QR code or artwork does not encode a card’s chip or magnetic stripe.

Magicard Pronto100 ID card printer questions

How does the Pronto100 help with small batches?

The 50-card input hopper feeds cards automatically, and the 50-card output hopper collects them after printing. As a result, you can prepare a run of staff badges or membership cards without inserting every card by hand. The hand-feed option also supports individual cards when needed.

What is the difference between HD and high-speed mode?

Magicard quotes 23 seconds for a colour card in HD mode and 18 seconds in high-speed mode. Choose the mode for the detail in your artwork and the time available. For example, test a photo badge in your chosen mode before planning the output for a larger run.

Can it automatically print both sides of a card?

No. The Pronto100 is a single-sided printer. If you need automatic printing on the reverse, compare a Magicard Duo model. This is useful when a card needs a photograph and name on the front, plus contact details or terms on the back.

Will original Pronto ribbons fit the Pronto100?

No. The Pronto100 uses its own approved MD colour ribbon family, including MD100YMCKO, and E9100 cleaning supplies. The original hand-fed Pronto uses different MA colour ribbons and CK1 cleaning supplies. Check the full model name on the printer before ordering replacements.

What else should I include in the setup?

For the Magicard Pronto100 ID card printer, allow for compatible blank cards, an MD ribbon, cleaning supplies and card-design software. USB and Ethernet offer local or wired network connections. Also confirm the current driver support and contents of the selected offer. For access cards, check the card technology and encoding arrangement separately from the printed design.

PLAN YOUR CARD PRINTING

Choosing your Pronto100 setup

Where this model fits

A 50-card input hopper makes the Pronto100 useful for small batches without hand-feeding each card. Compare its two colour print modes when balancing image quality and turnaround.

Match the supplies

Match the Pronto100 ribbon reference and printer region. Its E9100 cleaning kit is different from CK1 for the original Pronto; ask ACB about the correct current kit.

Compare the complete offer

Ask ACB to confirm the supplied configuration, included items, software licence, applicable warranty terms and delivery arrangements. Allow for consumables and maintenance when comparing the complete cost of issuing cards.
