MIFARE DESFire EV2 4K cards

MIFARE DESFire EV2 4K cards provide blank stock for a system using the specified NXP multi-application chip. This offer contains 100 CR80 cards. Choose the 4K memory version against the application layout, and plan both the printed identification and electronic personalisation before issuing the cards.

Specify the application as well as the chip

The DESFire EV2 interface uses 13.56 MHz and ISO/IEC 14443 Type A, including the ISO/IEC 14443-4 transmission protocol. The chip supports AES and DES/3DES cryptographic methods; the reader, software, keys and chosen configuration determine how these capabilities are used. Memory capacity is shared by application files and management information.

MIFARE DESFire EV2 4K cards for your setup

A DESFire card is not automatically a working credential for an existing installation. Check the required EV generation, 4K capacity, application identifiers, key configuration and enrolment process with your system provider. A matching frequency alone does not establish compatibility.

These cards are listed in the standard CR80 credit-card format; check your printer's stock requirements before personalisation. Consult the NXP DESFire EV2 short data sheet and give ACB your approved card specification when ordering.

Choose memory against the application design

When selecting MIFARE DESFire EV2 4K cards, ask the system provider for the required EV generation, memory capacity and application specification. Keep that information with the approved card design. This gives ACB a clearer replacement brief than a photograph of an unmarked white card alone.

Compare the 2K EV2 option if the application supplier has approved a choice of capacities. Prepare a test card with the required files and visible artwork, then check the reader and issue process together. For a printed staff badge, position names and photographs for easy inspection and choose a matching portrait holder or landscape holder.

Does the memory label describe free space for my files?

The nominal 4K capacity is shared by applications and management information. Have the application provider confirm the usable layout and required capacity for the planned files.

Can I use any DESFire generation as a replacement?

Confirm the required EV generation, commands, key configuration and reader support. A shared DESFire family name or operating frequency is not enough to approve a substitution.

Are printed cards ready to open doors?

Access depends on the configured application and enrolment process. A visual badge design does not set keys or assign permissions. Agree the print and electronic requirements before ordering production quantities.
