About this product

Evolis Agilia simplex retransfer ID card printer

The Evolis Agilia Simplex prints one side of a CR80 card using 600 × 600 dpi retransfer technology. It prints the design onto transfer film before applying that image to the card, making it an option for detailed photo IDs and artwork that extends beyond the card edge.

Choose cards and supplies together

Evolis specifies cards 0.76–1.25 mm thick, rather than thin 0.25 mm stock. Supported materials include approved PVC, composite PVC, PET, polycarbonate and ABS. Confirm the exact card construction, surface and any embedded chip with ACB before buying stock for a new project.

Agilia needs a compatible print ribbon and separate retransfer film. Clear film is rated for 1,200 images; YMCK and YMCK-K colour ribbons are rated for 600 prints. These are consumable image ratings, not a promise of the same number of finished two-sided cards. Two printed faces use additional film and the ribbon consumption depends on the selected mode. Retransfer film is not the same as a separate patch laminate.

Plan your workstation and output

USB 2.0 and Ethernet are standard. The input hopper holds up to 200 standard 0.76 mm cards, with a 100-card output hopper. The published speed is up to 150 cards/hour, ymck simplex, before allowing for your job settings, encoding and handling. Any magnetic, contact or contactless encoding requires the appropriate configured hardware and compatible software; a printed card is not automatically encoded.

Compare the dual-sided Agilia. See the Evolis Agilia product information and Agilia technical sheet. Confirm your software licence and first set of ribbons and film with ACB.

Evolis Agilia Simplex buying questions

Why choose Evolis Agilia Simplex retransfer printing?

Retransfer printing uses film to carry the image onto the card. This allows over-the-edge coverage and detailed designs. It is useful when your membership or photo ID artwork has a full background and fine text. Check the exact card material and construction before starting a new project.

Which ribbon and film should I order?

Both consumables are required. Compare the RT4F101E100 YMCK ribbon with the RTCL100NAAA clear retransfer film. Match the reference and printer region before ordering. A film roll and a colour ribbon have separate capacities, so plan replacements for both.

Should I choose Simplex or Duplex?

The Simplex configuration prints one card face. Choose it when the photograph, name and required details fit on the front. If you also need automatic printing on the reverse, compare the Duplex model. Plan the design before buying: the number of printed faces affects supplies and production time.

Does the printer also encode a smart card?

Only a properly configured encoding setup can write the required credentials. The printed image and the smart-card chip are separate. Tell ACB which reader system, card technology and software you use. You can compare Evolis printers or use our photo ID card printing service if you prefer finished cards.
