Choose the correct memory version

NXP specifies 48 bytes of user memory for MF0UL11 and 128 bytes for MF0UL21. Both belong to the Ultralight EV1 family, so the family name alone does not identify the memory variant. Check that the listed 48-byte version meets your application's storage and command requirements.

MIFARE Ultralight EV1 cards for your setup

The contactless interface operates at 13.56 MHz, with a 106 kbit/s data rate in an ISO/IEC 14443 Type A environment. A compatible encoder and software are needed to write your data. The family's password protection should not be presented as equivalent to DESFire cryptographic authentication or a guarantee against cloning.

Check your printer's card-stock requirements before printing, and test enrolment with your system before a larger rollout. View the NXP Ultralight EV1 data sheet for the two memory variants.

Plan a small ticketing or loyalty run

Use MIFARE Ultralight EV1 cards with a record layout agreed by the system provider. A short printed card number can help staff reconcile a physical pass with their records, while the chip data serves the configured reader. Decide which information needs to be visible and which belongs in the application.

Allow a few cards for an end-to-end trial before issuing a batch. Check the encoded record, the reader response and the printed result together. For a different memory and authentication format, compare Ultralight C cards against the system specification. A clear enclosed holder is an optional way to display a compatible physical credential.

MIFARE Ultralight EV1 cards: buying questions

Do all Ultralight EV1 cards have the same memory?

No. NXP identifies 48-byte and 128-byte user-memory versions. This offer is listed as 48 bytes; confirm that variant against the existing application before placing a repeat order.

Will a normal card printer write the ticket data?

Printing the surface and writing the chip are separate operations. Use the compatible encoder, software and record format required by your ticketing or loyalty system.

What should I include in a specification enquiry?

Send the chip generation, expected memory, reader model, card quantity and intended print method. Include a sample or the original card specification where available so ACB can check the proposed stock.

Choose the required quantity and check the selected option before adding it to your basket. For help with the card specification, artwork or a matching accessory, contact ACB.
