About this product

Magicard MD100YMCKO colour ribbon

The Magicard MD100YMCKO colour ribbon is a YMCKO consumable for a compatible direct-to-card card-printing workflow. The published nominal rating is 100 images or panel sets per roll.

Choose the correct ribbon

YMC are the colour panels, K is resin black and O is the overlay. Use the ribbon and settings approved for the printer and the intended card stock.

Printer/reference check: Pronto100; match the regional MD reference. A similar-looking cartridge or a related model name does not establish that two references are interchangeable.

Plan the output

Treat 100 as a nominal image or panel-set rating. Finished-card output depends on layout, print mode and the faces printed. Check the supplied ribbon label and required driver settings.

Follow the printer’s cleaning and loading instructions. Confirm any separately required cards, cleaning supplies, software or retransfer film with ACB.

COMPLETE YOUR CARD PRINTING SETUP

Cards and supplies for your MD100YMCKO setup

Use the Pronto100 reference and region. The original Pronto uses different colour-film and cleaning references.

Start with the right card surface

Smooth white PVC cards are a practical starting point for visual ID. For contactless cards, check the printer’s approved stock and card surface: embedded chips or antennae can affect direct-to-card results. Discuss a sample or retransfer printing where the finish over the chip is important.

Printing and access control are separate. Printing the card face does not encode, enrol or activate the chip. DESFire and Classic cards are different technologies; match the system specification, keys and application setup. Classic EV1 is a replacement option for existing compatible systems, rather than a default choice for a new installation.

Card suggestions are separate products. Check the complete card, printer, ribbon and system specification before ordering. Prices and availability follow the current listings.
