The IDP Smart 70 full system is ACB's listed package for card printing with duplex and lamination hardware. It builds on IDP's modular platform so that printing, flipping, card handling and film application can be matched to your credential programme.

Confirm the complete module layout, software edition and consumable references before ordering. “Full system” can describe different configurations across suppliers. Compare the actual included hardware, output capacity and software rather than the package name alone.

Match the workflow to the finished card

First, define the artwork on each face and which faces need laminate. Next, choose compatible cards, ribbon and film. Laminate coverage must suit any contact-chip position and the way the credential will be used.

The Smart 70 platform provides 300 × 300 dpi direct-to-card printing with USB and Ethernet. IDP's 225-card/hour YMCKO figure describes a single-printer colour mode, while 1,000 cards per hour is monochrome. A completed duplex, encoded or laminated job has its own output rate.

Smart 70 full system buying questions

Is this the same as every supplier's “full” package?

No. ACB's current listing includes duplex and lamination hardware. Other offers may use the name for a different hopper or module arrangement. Ask for the exact supplied specification so that your comparison includes the same functions.

Does the listed colour ribbon include laminating film?

A colour ribbon and a separate laminate are different supplies. Confirm the film reference, thickness, coverage and quantity required for your job. The listed ribbon rating alone does not establish how many finished two-sided, laminated cards the package will produce.

Can it encode contactless access cards?

The platform supports optional encoding configurations. Match the fitted encoder, software edition and precise card technology to your reader system. A duplex module or laminator does not itself establish that an encoder is fitted.

What should I plan for installation?

Allow space for the complete connected module line, loading and output access. Check the computer, current driver, software licence and network requirements. Prepare a sample of both faces and any encoded data before planning a production batch.

Would the starter system be enough?
