The Swiftpro K30 retransfer printer produces single-sided photo ID cards, membership cards and passes at 300 × 300 dpi. It prints the image onto InTM film before transferring it onto approved card stock. This process supports over-the-edge artwork and offers a useful route to personalising suitable technology cards.

Choose the single-sided layout

The K30 suits a card with the holder's photograph, name and organisation details on the front. The reverse can stay blank or carry suitable preprinted information. If both faces need variable artwork, compare the Swiftpro K30D dual-sided printer. Check the full required configuration before buying rather than assuming an optional flipper or encoder is fitted.

Standard input and output hoppers hold 100 cards each, with a 250-card input hopper available as an upgrade. The manufacturer specifies CR80 cards measuring approximately 85.6 × 54 mm, at 0.25–1.00 mm thickness. Choose an approved material and finish that suit the intended printing and any additional processes.

Plan ribbon and transfer film together

The K30 requires a compatible colour ribbon and separate InTM film. A ribbon creates the image; the film carries it onto the card. Their stated capacities describe different supplies, so consider both when working out the consumables needed for a batch. Do not substitute a ribbon or film solely because another retransfer printer looks similar.

Can this printer encode smart cards?

Contact or contactless encoding needs the appropriate configured hardware, compatible software and the correct credential technology. Magnetic-stripe encoding requires a duplex configuration. Printing a photograph or barcode on a card does not itself write data to its chip or stripe.

Does the transfer film provide separate lamination?

InTM film is part of the retransfer printing process. Additional lamination uses a compatible L10 or L10D module and its own materials. Confirm that option and the suitable card construction if a separate protective laminate is required.
