The Evolis RCT023NAA black ribbon prints text, barcodes and single-colour graphics on compatible cards. Its nominal capacity is up to 2,000 prints per roll. It is useful for adding names or numbers to pre-printed cards, or producing a simple black design on a suitable light card surface.

Match the complete reference to your original Evolis Zenius or Primacy. The current manufacturer chart lists RCT023NAA separately from the newer RCT223NAAA family. Therefore, check the exact generation before ordering for a Primacy 2 or Zenius 2. You can use the Evolis compatibility chart or ask ACB to check your existing ribbon label.

How is monochrome different from a colour ribbon?

This is a continuous black ribbon. It does not contain the yellow, magenta and cyan panels used for a full-colour photograph. If the background artwork is already printed, monochrome can add the changing cardholder details. For colour artwork, compare an approved YMCKO ribbon for your exact printer.

What affects the 2,000-print rating?

The amount of ribbon used depends on the printed area and supported ribbon-saving settings. A compact name or number layout can use a different length from a large black design. Allow for test cards and reprints, then plan supplies around your own job rather than treating the nominal figure as a guarantee.

Which cards should I use?

Choose approved, clean cards with a suitable printable surface. Our blank white PVC cards are a starting point for a conventional black-on-white design. For MIFARE cards, also check the required chip and reader system. Printing the card details does not encode the chip.
