Compatibility and ordering

These active clamshell cards differ from passive ISO credentials. Read distance depends on the reader and installation; match the full part number before ordering.

Match the full product reference to an existing credential or your access-system specification. A shared card size or radio frequency does not by itself establish reader compatibility. If your current card type is uncertain, contact ACB before ordering so the required reference can be checked.

Questions about Vanderbilt IB928

How does IB928 differ from the passive IB958 card?

IB928 is the battery-powered active hands-free clamshell credential in this offer. IB958 is a separately listed passive ISO card. Check the full reference and reader arrangement before replacing one with another, because the operating requirements differ.

Is a particular read distance guaranteed?

Read distance depends on the compatible reader and the installation. Confirm the required operating arrangement with the system administrator before ordering. The pack supplies ten credentials; it does not add hands-free capability to an otherwise incompatible reader.
