The Evolis R2015 white ribbon prints white text, numbers and simple graphics on approved plastic cards. It is useful when personalising a suitable coloured or preprinted background with information that should stand out in white. The roll has a published nominal capacity of 1,000 prints.

Evolis R2015 white ribbon compatibility

Evolis's current consumables chart lists R2015 for Securion and Quantum 2. For another legacy printer, such as a Pebble or Dualys, confirm the precise model against its original consumables guide before ordering. A similar ribbon colour does not make different references interchangeable.

Original Zenius and Primacy printers use the RCT015NAA white reference within their approved range. Primacy 2 and Zenius 2 have separate supplies again. Check the full code when replacing a roll or stocking consumables for more than one printer.

Choose a background with useful contrast

Assess artwork printed with the Evolis R2015 white ribbon against the actual card design. A dark background can make a name or simple logo easier to see, while the same artwork may be difficult to read on a light area. Test fine lettering and any scanned detail on the completed card.

Will this create a writable signature area?

R2015 is selected for standard white artwork. If a writable panel is required, choose the special-purpose signature ribbon approved for the exact printer. A white graphic and a signature-panel coating serve different applications.

Is the 1,000-print capacity fixed?

It is a nominal rating. The amount of continuous ribbon used depends on the layout, the faces printed and the printer's supported ribbon-saving behaviour. A small name area consumes a different length from a full-width graphic.

What should I check when fitting a replacement?
