Custom printed RFID cards for access control, staff ID, education, membership and specialist contactless projects. Tell us what readers or platform you use and ACB will help confirm the credential before artwork reaches production.
Compatibility before print
RFID is a broad description, not a single interchangeable card type. Frequencies, chips, data formats and security settings vary between systems. If you are replacing an existing access card, a system reference, reader model or sample credential can prevent a costly mismatch.
Once the technology is confirmed, we can agree the print, personalisation and any authorised encoding needed for the way your organisation issues and manages cards.
RFID and smart-card options
We supply and print a range of contactless cards. The exact choice should be based on the reader technology and how the credential will be used, not on appearance alone.

Ask ACB to check ↗Print, identity and data
Combine the correct RFID technology with a professional printed identity card. Each card can carry clear visual information for staff, students, contractors, members or visitors while supporting the approved contactless workflow behind it.
Turn a compatible access credential into a card people can identify at a glance.
Print unique information from supplied data for each cardholder or location.
Add a visible or scannable code where a separate workflow requires it.
Where required, approved data is written using the specification supplied by your installer or security team.
Where printed RFID cards are used
Printed smart cards can combine contactless technology with visible identification, branding and variable data. Suitability always depends on the selected credential and system.
Use one clearly branded credential for compatible door access, visual ID, expiry dates and departmental identification.
Support campus identification, controlled access, library or service workflows when the chosen system and card technology allow.
Combine membership identification with compatible entrance, attendance or cashless applications.
Order branded cards for compatible guest-room, staff-area or leisure access systems. See our dedicated hotel key card service.
Issue professional event credentials for compatible access points, attendee identification and reusable venue programmes.
Some smart-card platforms can support time and attendance, secure printing, cashless vending or other services alongside access control.
From system check to delivery
We confirm the requirement first, check the artwork and data, provide a proof, then produce the approved printed RFID cards.
Share the platform, reader model, existing card reference and what the new credential must do.
We narrow down the compatible card and agree printing, data and authorised encoding requirements.
Artwork and visible personalisation are checked and sent for approval before production.
The approved cards are produced for issue, with the specification available for repeat orders.
Common questions
RFID cards can look identical while working very differently. These are the questions that help prevent the wrong credential being printed.
RFID is the broad term for contactless identification technologies. NFC is a short-range subset commonly associated with compatible 13.56 MHz interactions. The name alone does not confirm that a card will work with your reader, so we check the exact system and credential.
Only if the card technology and configuration match what the reader accepts. Tell us the platform, reader model or existing card reference. A sample credential may also help identify the correct route.
Yes, ACB can quote for printed MIFARE and DESFire options. We first confirm the required chip family, memory or application specification and whether any authorised encoding is needed.
Yes. Compatible cards can be visibly personalised with photographs, names, roles, numbers, departments, expiry dates, barcodes and QR codes from supplied data.
We do not guess or bypass security. We identify the required credential and only encode using an authorised specification supplied by your organisation, installer or security team. Some secure credentials cannot simply be copied.
Yes. A compatible contactless credential can be printed as a professional photo ID card for visible identification. Explore our photo ID card printing service for wider programme guidance.
Yes. The printed artwork and visible personalisation are supplied for approval before production. Where appropriate, a physical sample may also be discussed for compatibility testing.
